TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Electronics manufacturer Tokyo Electron launched its new operations center in Tainan on Tuesday (Dec. 3). The Taiwan Operations Center is six floors tall, covering an area of approximately 35,000 square meters, and can accommodate over 1,000 employees, per Liberty Times. The facility features a tech lab, a repair center, and a solar power system.
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan showcased its economic strength at the Asian Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce meeting on Monday (Dec. 2). The organization, supported by former Vice President Vincent Siew (蕭萬長), was founded in Taipei in 1993. It promotes cooperation among Taiwanese businesses in Asia, protects their rights, and develops international markets.
Taiwan has overtaken South Korea to become the second-largest supplier of semiconductor equipment by revenue, according to the industry group SEMI.
