Welcome Speech
REIT is provided the ordinary people to invest in commercial real estate. It requires a specialized real estate management company to perform the portfolio of a REIT. The asset portfolio of J-REITs has 3 types: specialized in one specific type of asset, such as: rental residential or office, one specific region of asset, such as: Fukuoka REIT, as well as the overall assets investment.
Those assets may generate better rental/fee income (revenue of commercial real estate) after TOD or place making revitalization as to become the accessible and attractive destination. Would a J-REIT acquire those assets for the ordinary people enabled to invest as well?
TCSCRE invited the well-known speakers to present the topics of TOD, Place Making and REITs in Taiwan and Japan. Integrated the information and idea exchanges via a panel discussion related to J-TOD, J-Place Making and J-REITs. As well as the current profile of T-TOD and T-REITs.
T-TOD Speech
It's our honor to have the Director General of Taiwan's Railway Bureau, MOTC - Young, Cheng-Chung, who highlighted the Past, Now and Then of Taiwan's TOD. His presentation led every attendee to understand from low to high speed development along the transit-oriented hubs in Taiwan.
T-REITs Speech
Gratefully, T-REITs speech presented by the Chairman of Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Association of the R.O.C. - Liu, Tsung-Sheng. The presentation addressed the T-REITs' before and after if the renewed law passed in Legislative Yuan. It would open the new chapter of Taiwan's commercial real estate industry.
Panel Discussion
Integrated the information and idea exchanges via a panel discussion related to J-TOD, J-Place Making and J-REITs.
T-REITs renewed law is now under the 3rd reading in Legislative Yuan. TCSCRE looks forward to seeing the openly approach of investment in commercial real estate of Taiwan in 2025.
